MANCHESTER UNITED want Mario Mandzukic in return as part of a deal to sell Matteo Darmian to Juventus.
The Croatia forward is currently preparing for their World Cup quarter-final clash against Russia on Saturday.

The former Torino defender, 28, played only 16 times for United last season and many of those were in fringe competitions.
But Mourinho is a long-time admirer of Croatia forward Mandzukic, 32 and wants to bring him in, according to the Mirror.
And with the former Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid forward’s experience of Champions League football, he fits the mould of the sort of player the Portuguese likes to manage.
Mandzukic scored for Croatia in their round of 16 penalty shootout win over Denmark on Sunday.
He found the net 10 times for the Old Lady last term as they went on to win the Scudetto for the SEVENTH time on the bounce.
But he is often behind Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in the pecking order.
And Juventus are currently looking to do a deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin.
The club have reportedly offered Ronaldo a package of £500,000 a week and want to spend £88million on bringing the Real Madrid superstar to Juventus Stadium.
As SunSport exclusively revealed today, United are also looking to do a deal for Stoke playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri.
