Manchester United news: Marcos Rojo wanted by PSG as Jose Mourinho fumes delays in over contract talks

JOSE MOURINHO is fuming over delays in Marcos Rojo’s contract talks – with PSG ready to pounce.

The Manchester United boss wants to secure the Argentina centre-back’s future but has been frustrated over the time it has taken to extend his deal beyond 2019.

Paris Saint-Germain want to make the 27-year-old their next big South American signing with a £30million summer move.

The French giants have Brazil stars Neymar and Dani Alves in their ranks and they are determined to join Rojo with his international team-mate Angel Di Maria.

PSG bosses will swoop after tracking his stalling contract talks, with the ex-Sporting Lisbon defender having just 15 months left on his current deal.

Rojo is yet to agree a fresh terms at Old Trafford, with sources at the club saying negotiations with experienced players will take longer than triggering options.

Mourinho, 55, wants him as part of his future at the United after returning from a serious knee injury in November.

The Special One was not happy with the performances of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the recent defeat to Newcastle and Eric Bailly has been injured with an ankle complaint.

Rojo suffered his knee injury in the same match that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was crocked against Anderlecht last season.

He made his comeback in the Champions League against Basel and has been eased back after seven months out.

After keeping clean sheets in three consecutive matches he insisted he was “feeling 100 per cent” and ready to help United secure a top-two finish in the Premier League.
