Jadon Sancho isn’t the only former Man City starlet thriving in the Bundesliga this season

The Bundesliga assist chart makes for good reading at the moment if you’re Jadon Sancho.

Sancho is leading the chasing pack, which includes Marco Reus, Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Muller, having registered five assists in six appearances.

His closest rival is Hertha Berlin’s Javairo Dilrosun. That name might not be familiar to your average Premier League fan, but Dilrosun has plenty in common with Sancho.

Dilrosun is a new arrival in Germany, having left Man City in the summer.

Like Sancho, winger Dilrosun was forced to leave Manchester for the Bundesliga in search of regular games.

The 20-year-old, who’s been capped by the Netherlands from Under-15 through to Under-21 level, joined City from Ajax in 2014.

Dilrosun never made the first-team despite playing for City’s Under-23s, where he was a team-mate of Sancho, while still a teenager.

However he’s now making up for lost time.

He picked up an assist on his debut against Schalke and followed that up with a goal against Wolfsburg in his following appearance.

Matchday three saw Dilrosun’s best performance in a Berlin shirt to date as he registered two assists in a 4-2 win against Borussia Monchengladbach.

His displays have helped power Berlin to third in the Bundesliga table, level with Bayern Munich and a single point behind leaders Dortmund.

If you want to feel old, Dilrosun was born in 1998. If you want to feel young, he’s team-mates with Salomon Kalou.

We don’t know how to feel. Happy Monday.
