There are three things that are certain in life; death, taxes and Loris Karius making a glaring mistake in Europe.
After a two horrific blunders in the Champions League final, Karius had to leave Liverpool and Europe’s top five leagues to try and resurrect his career.

Besiktas had a very winnable second Europa League group stage match away at Malmo and everything was going well until the 53rd minute.
And before you say anything, we checked and Sergio Ramos was nowhere to be seen at the Swedbank Stadion.

We think this might be on a par with his more famous gaffes.
There is absolutely no danger has a cross is lofted in from the right side far ahead of any Malmo attackers.
But fear not, Karius still manages to let the ball bungle into his own net from such an unlikely position.
He completely misjudges the flight of the ball and is reduced to a wayward flap as it floats over the goal line.
Cue the whole Besiktas defence to stand with their hands on their hips in a classic ‘how he has done that again’ pose.
